Win: Kyrgyzstan Initiates 100% GMO Ban for 5.5 Million Population

By Julie Wilson: Kyrgyzstan, a nation Bordering China, and residing south of Kazakhstan, has become one of the first countries in the world to ban all genetically modified (GM) crops and the sale and importation of GM food. China has made similar moves, including rejecting 8 different shipments of GMO corn. The Kyrgyz Members of Parliament said they intend to police the borders for GMOs, if any are found they will be either refused or destroyed. The country also intends to ban tobacco and alcohol advertisers.
